Summary

I'm a fan of routine and not thinking about thinkgs I don't have to. This is why my days are fairly regular, especially in the morning.

Overview

  • morning: start of with yoga and focus on most important work before noon
  • noon: take a breather with running, have lunch and read up on hacker news
  • afternoon: more work, mix in nap and meditation to get through the afternoon
  • evening: wind down, prepare for next day

Time spent by category

  • 8h-9h work
  • 6h routine things (eating, running, meditation, walking the dog)
  • 7h-8h sleep
  • 1h-2h discretionary time

  • 13:00 - 15:00: work
  • 15:00 - 15:15: nap
  • 15:15 - 16:00: work
  • 16:00 - 17:00: ent.meditate (Private), take break
  • 17:00 - 18:00 work

Evening

  • 18:00 - 20:00 dinner, wind down
  • 20:00 - 20:30: wrap up any remaining work items
  • 20:30 - 21:00: catch up on writing, personal items

Focuses

  • Monday & Tuesday: work is mostly management and planning (preparing for one on ones, reviewing weekly goals, etc)
  • Wednesday: Mix of management and tech lead (code reviews, design reviews, etc)
  • Thursday: Try to get some coding in here
  • Friday: Wildcard
  • Saturday: Break
  • Sunday: Prepare for next week, some management
